I started writing this song while making a drive through the night from Idaho to Utah. I was alone on the interstate with the Semi-Trucks singing this melody over and over. Their headlights all looked the same coming towards me, lighting up my dashboard. Soon the story came into a view: a heartbroken traveler wanting to repair a relationship...the 18 wheeler trucks passing by, each lighting up a dashboard of loose change, enough to make a phone call...the traveler tries to call to make things right, but the fear of actually following through and facing rejection might be too much.
